Gregory Warren is originally from Jamestown, and graduated from West Fargo High School in 1970. After high school he attended Bismarck Junior College and graduated from the Bismarck Law Enforcement Academy in 1976. Prior to being hired as a Patrol Officer for West Fargo Police Department in 1975 he was a Correctional Officer and Part-time Deputy for Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

As a patrol officer Warren was a part-time investigator from 1977 to 1979, taught Drug Intervention in elementary schools from 1977 to 1982, presented to Law & Justice classes from 1980 to 1993, and was in charge of the Counter Act Drug Program from 1990-1994. Warren was promoted to Patrol Sergeant in 1982 and to Investigations Sergeant in 1994. Warren is a part of the Sexual Assault Response Team, the CART Coordinator, the Sex Offender Program Coordinator for West Fargo, Sex Offender Containment Task Force Member, an Elder Abuse Committee Member, and a Human Trafficking Committee Member.

In January of 2016, Warren was promoted to Investigations Lieutenant.

He has received numerous awards to include: the Distinguished Service Award – awarded in 2008 for 33 years of service to the West Fargo Police Department, Employee of the Year in 2011, the Commendable Service Award and the Active Shooter Response Ribbon, both in 2016, and the State of North Dakota Police Officer of the Year Award in 2017.

When not working Warren enjoys hunting, fishing, going to the lake, boating, spending time with his grandkids, hiking, visiting Arizona, and just hanging out with fun crazy people. He is married and a father to 3 kids.
