Patriot Fish Fest, January 10, and 11, 2025

Join us in honoring our nation’s heroes on January 10th and 11th, 2025. Patriot Fish Fest, presented by Smokey Hills Outdoor Store and Ice Castle Fish Houses, at Devils Lake, ND, is open to the public.

Social Hour will be at the Woodland Dome (follow signs) at Woodland Resort on Friday, January 10^th from 5-6pm. This will be followed by the mandatory rules meeting from 6-6:30pm. The rules meeting will also be live streamed on American Heroes Outdoors Facebook page.

Tournament hours on Saturday, January 11th are 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, followed by banquet at 5:00 pm. Contestants will check-in, stage and depart from the landing at Woodland Resort beginning at 6:30am.

Entry fee is $100 per individual, and includes Fishing Tournament, meals at banquet, and raffle drawings.

Tournament Rules:

Rules meeting will be at Woodland Resort and Virtually on AHO FB Live at 6:00pm on Friday, January 1oth.
Tournament hours are Saturday, January 11th, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Contestants will check-in, stage and depart from the landing at Woodland Resort starting at 6:30am.
Fish houses, shelters, and vehicles are allowed on the ice, (will be inspected). Electronic equipment allowed. (Including but not limited to) depth finders, graphs & underwater cameras. All personal articles are subject to search for illegal fish. Any tournament official has the right to view and re-inspect teams on the ice.
Weigh-ins will start at 2:30pm. All fish must be at weigh-in no later than 3:30pm. At least one team member must be present to weigh their fish.
Weigh-in will be held at the Woodland Dome – Woodland Resort (follow signs).
Frozen fish will not be weighed. Fish will be brought to weigh in using a bucket or bag.
Tournament Director has the right to disqualify any fish that are in question.
Tournament area is Devils Lake and any connecting bodies of water to Devils Lake.
All Current ND Game and Fish Department Regulations Must Be Followed.
The sharing of fish between teams is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification. Failure to comply with these rules may lead to a contestant’s disqualification.Any protests must be brought directly to the tournament director.

Prizes – Awards

Cash prizes will be awarded as follows:

1st and 2nd place for three largest Walleye (total weight)
1st and 2nd place for three largest Perch (total weight)
1st place for largest Pike (single fish weight)
1st place for largest “other fish” (single fish weight)
75% of all Entry fees will be paid back to participants. Prizes are based on net from ticket sales and will be divided up as follows: Walleye 30% Perch 30% Northern 30% Other 10%. Cash payouts will be determined prior to start, dependent on # of participants.
There will be no refunds if the contest is canceled; however, all raffle prizes will be awarded.

In the event of inclement weather or unsafe ice the committee reserves the right to modify the tournament.
