Throughout American history, millions of members of the United States Armed Forces have fought in deadly wars and battles to protect our country and its freedom. One of the tragic consequences to those engaged in these wars is post-traumatic effects to our heroes well being. Our program partners show an appreciation for that sacrifice, and aid in our mission, which is of significant therapy for our nation’s heroes.

DAV (Disabled American Veterans) is the most long-lasting veterans advocacy and assistance group in this country. We’ve watched this country change and grow, and we’ve grown along with it. However, DAV has never wavered in its core mission to fulfill our country’s promises to the men and women who served. We invite everyone, veterans and civilian, men and women, young and old, to join us as we stand up for those veterans who risked it all when they stood up for us, our country, and our ideals.
Healing Patriots uses the power of The Great Outdoors. Fishing is one tool we use to relax and refocus on the simple things in life. During the multiple day expeditions, the goal is to go back to basics in building confidence, refocus on faith, develop team concepts, make new friends, build the camaraderie that was thought to be lost, and learn techniques to fish for multiple species.
The great outdoors provides a unique opportunity to get away and become one with nature and its healing powers.
Band of Brothers Outdoors was started and founded by three Military Veterans with one mission in mind… “To get our Veterans and Active duty members outdoors to experience the benefits of Recreational Therapy!”. Whether it be Kayaking, Mushrooming, Hiking, Snow Shoeing, Hunting or Fishing, Band of Brothers Outdoors is committed to helping our veterans and active duty service members get back outdoors.
