SCHEELS HOMETOWN HERO – BETSY MILLER

Officer Elizabeth (Betsy) Miller is a 2009 graduate of Moorhead High School. In March of 2009, Elizabeth joined the 119th Wing North Dakota Air National Guard, “The Happy Hooligans” as a Security Forces Specialist. Officer Miller completed her associates degree in criminal justice, through the Community College of the Air Force, in the Spring of 2016. Officer Miller deployed with the 119th Wing Security Forces to South West Asia in the summer of 2017. Currently officer Miller is a Master Sergeant, and squad leader, for the 119th Security Forces squadron.

Officer Miller joined the Fargo Police Department and completed her training at the North Dakota Law Enforcement training center in December of 2016. She has been a patrol officer and was selected to be a K9 officer in the Fall of 2021. Her K9 partner, Toby, and Officer Miller completed training in December of 2019. Officer Miller and Toby are trained in explosive detection and apprehension.
