SCHEELS HOMETOWN HERO – STEVE BOOTH

Steve is a 20 year Navy Veteran with duty stations on 5 different naval ships in the 60’s and 70’s. One memorable moment for Steve was when he helped run communications for the Navy between Apollo 11 for the first moon landing. Steve was also present and on-site during the Cuban missile crisis.

Since retiring from the Navy in the late 70’s, Steve has been a realtor for 36+ years (and still counting at 81 years of age) with an emphasis on helping Veterans better understand the home buying process. Steve has educated and helped save thousands upon thousands of dollars for Veterans during the home buying process through his own work as well as being an early supporter and proponent of Homes for Heroes. Recently, Steve joined forces as a volunteer and board member for Cover My 6 Iowa. Cover My 6 Iowa is a local, all volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to supporting veterans and service members in the state of Iowa during times of financial hardship.
